Since 2009, the 3rd Thursday Jazz Series continues to draw large, diverse, and enthusiastic audiences to the Central Library for five monthly performances, May through September. The objectives of the series are to emphasize the library’s role as collector, keeper, and preserver of the City of Fort Worth’s history and culture; make the downtown Central Library a destination in itself; educate people about the importance of music and the arts.
This proven program averages 500 attendees at each performance and features a dynamic lineup of local and internationally touring artists. The library is focused on providing opportunities for all Fort Worth residents to continue learning about themselves, their rich history, and the world around them.
