About Us
The Library Foundation was founded in 1993 by Betsy Pepper to address the physical needs of the Central Library. Following the initial successful campaign, the Foundation has continued to raise money to supplement public funding of the library system. To date, the Foundation has raised over $19M for building renovations, new construction, innovative programming for children, families, and adults; and technology enhancements for library services. There is no us without YOUR support!
Our Mission
The mission of The Fort Worth Public Library Foundation is to benefit both the Fort Worth Public Library and the Fort Worth Community by providing resources that support educational programming, buildings, and infrastructure improvements.
The Fort Worth Public Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity created to enhance the City of Fort Worth’s delivery of library services for the benefit of our community. The Foundation is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors. A professional staff raises and manages gifts along with working hand-in-hand with the Fort Worth Public Library.
