High School Equivalency (HSE) Program: It's Never Too Late to Learn

Every person deserves the chance to finish what they started — no matter their age, language, or life circumstances.

The Fort Worth Public Library’s High School Equivalency (HSE) Program helps adult learners prepare for the GED-equivalency exam with free, supportive instruction in both English and Spanish. For many, it’s more than a test. It’s a path to better jobs, higher education, and long-term stability for themselves and their families.

This is the only no-cost, Spanish-language HSE program in Tarrant County.

With the help of our supporters, we've removed one of the biggest barriers that adult learners often face. Participants receive individualized instruction, test prep resources, and the encouragement they need to keep going.

In the past year alone, the program provided 454 hours of instruction and celebrated 11 new graduates, each one moving forward with pride and purpose.

When you support the Fort Worth Public Library Foundation, you’re giving adults the chance to rewrite their future, and showing them that their goals are still within reach.

Give the gift of opportunity. Support HSE programs today.
